ANTIQUE LARGE OAK 18X SETTING FLATWARE CANTEEN CHEST This is a good antique empty 3 layer oak chest for 18 place settings of flatware (note no knife slots) including slots for 2 gravy spoons and soup ladle etc. The brass shield to lid is engraved with a single initial ‘F’. Will take 18x Dinner forks of 8.25 inch (21cm), 18x Side forks of 7 inch (18cm), 18x Dessert Spoons of 7.5inch (19cm), 18x Tablespoons of 9 inch (23cm), 1x soup ladle of c. 13 inch (33cm) max length, 2x basting/gravy spoons of c. 13 inch (33cm) max. Wood is structurally sound, has some scuffs and some ring mark type stains to lid. Interior is fairly good with minor marks and some of the slots have minor movement. The middle pull out tray has a replacement ribbon handle and some scratches to its sides. Underside baize is scuffed and slightly loose. No key.
COMMUNITY GRECIAN PATTERN SILVER PLATED DESSERT SPOONS A set of 6 vintage silver plated dessert spoons in the Grecian pattern made by Community All gleaming silver, no dents or damage, no plate wear and average but not excessive use marks
VINTAGE RUSSIAN SOLID SILVER NIELLO TEA GLASS HOLDER A good looking Russian solid silver and Niello work tea glass/tumbler holder with gilt interior. Will accommodate a tumbler of approx 6.7cm diameter No dents or damage other than some very insignificant knocks to the base rim. There is some light surface tarnish.
SOLID STERLING SILVER INKWELL & STAND CHESTER 1907 This is a very nice boat shaped sterling silver inkwell stand with its original cut glass and silver inkwell. Made by Robert Pringle & Sons, fully hallmarked for Chester 1907. Base tray weighs 53g. No dents or damage. The glass is fine with just a couple of miniscule fleabites at the cutwork.
BEAUTIFUL STERLING SILVER HEART SHAPED CRUET POT 1896 This is a super little piece, the ornate heart shaped sterling silver frame is complete with its original heart shaped cobalt blue glass liner. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1896 and made by Nathan & Hayes. The silver weighs 10g. A few tiny knocks to the underside base of the silver. Glass in fine condition.
STERLING SILVER POSY VASE JAMES DIXON SHEFFIELD 1907 A very nice sterling silver posy vase by James Dixon & Sons, fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1907. It has a weighted base. This has a deliberate slight lean to the front as is usual with silver posy vases. A couple of minor knocks to the base rim otherwise fine with minor surface marks.
STERLING SILVER PARROT RING TREE CHESTER 1922 A lovely novelty piece of silver by Adie & Lovekin, this is a sterling silver ring tree formed topped with a parrot with ‘pin cushion’ type body. Fully hallmarked for Chester 1922. Filled base. Some dents to the base plinth. The vertical stand removes from the base, whether it always did that or not we are unsure but its not a big problem and is stands perfectly well etc. The cloth to the top of the parrots body has disintegrated but could be easily replaced with a small piece of velvet etc. Slight losses to the base filling and no baize to underside. Still a great piece, with some very minor work an even better piece.
ORNATE ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER PHOTO FRAME 1904 A lovely looking photo frame fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1904, made by Gourdel Vales & Co. Has its glass. The visible photo area is 44mm/1.75 inch diameter. Some small holes to the raised silver but they don’t notice too much. Missing its easel stand to rear but not too difficult to construct a replacement.
CIRCULAR STERLING SILVER EASEL PHOTO FRAME 1911 A good sized circular photo frame fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1911, makers marks unclear. Has its glass. The visible photo area is 83mm/3.25 inch diameter. Shallow dents to the silver frame but otherwise fine
ORNATE ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER PHOTO FRAME 1910 This is a very good looking frame fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1910 and made by Henry Matthews. It’s a very nice size, the visible photo area is 126mm by 83mm (5 inch by 3.5 inch). The glass is not present. Missing its wooden easel but the hinge is there and wouldn’t be too difficult to construct a new one. The silver is overall very good with just a few small holes and no dents. No glass.
ORNATE STERLING SILVER NAPKIN RING NO INITALS 1910 A good looking sterling silver napkin ring fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1910 and without monograms/initials. No dents or damage
ORNATE STERLING SILVER NAPKIN RING BETTY 1908 A good looking stirrup shaped sterling silver napkin ring fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1908. It has a feint monogram of BGA to front and the name ‘Betty’ to underside. No dents or damage
STERLING SILVER NAPKIN RINGJARCHESTER 1904 A heavier gauge sterling silver napkin ring fully hallmarked for Chester 1904. Monogrammed with the initials ‘JAR’. No dents or damage. Minor surface marks.
STERLING SILVER ENAMEL GEORGE V JUBILEE SPOON 1935 A sterling silver teaspoon commemorating the Silver Jubilee of King George V, with Royal Blue enamel work to front of handle. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1935. There is some enamel loss to the bottom end of handle. A tiny knock to bowl tip. Minor tarnish to bowl interior.
GOOD STERLING SILVER ENAMEL GLASGOW SPOON 1930 A good looking sterling silver and enamel souvenir spoon from Glasgow, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1930. No dents or damage, no loss of enamel
COLLECTION HOBNAIL CUT GLASS SILVER SCENT BOTTLES ETC This is a small collection of cut glass and sterling silver dressing table pieces. There are 5 items sold together. 1) A globe shaped hobnail cut glass scent bottle fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1902. Has its stopper, slight crush to lid and a couple of lid splits but not too bad, some slither chips to the flat area around the aperture but main body good. 10.4cm tall. 2) a hobnail cut glass hair tidy fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1907. Dents and small split to silver lid and chip to underside base, slight fleabiting elsewhere but not bad. 6.5cm tall. 3) Dressing table jar fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1910. Glass fine, lid has some dents and holes but again looks nice. 7.3cm tall. 4) Large stoppered jar, hallmarks rubbed. Some chips to underside and fleabites to main body. Stopper good with minor fleabites. Knocks to the silver and hallmarks are completely rubbed. 10.6cm tall. 5) Floral cut glass pot, the silver rim fully hallmarked for London 1918. Glass fine, small knocks, dents to the silver rim. 6.5cm diameter. As above, please read carefully. These are in unpolished condition. Overall summary is that they are nice looking pieces with some minor flaws.
GEORGE III SOLID STERLING SILVER BERRY TABLESPOON 1767 A good looking piece, this is a sterling silver Hanoverian tablespoon fully hallmarked for London 1767 and with later berry work to bowl and bright cut engraved decoration to handle. The bowl is gilt washed. No dents or damage
GOOD SOLID STERLING SILVER TABLESPOON LONDON 1813 A good Old English pattern sterling silver tablespoon fully hallmarked for London 1813, maker ‘TW’. No monograms. Very good, light use wear and some very shallow knocks to bowl underside. Some light tarnish to bowl interior.
SOLID STERLING SILVER DESSERT SPOON BATEMAN 1797 A good condition sterling silver dessert spoon by Peter & Anne Bateman, fully hallmarked for London 1797. Old English pattern with single initial ‘B’ to handle. No dents or damage, some minor surface marks, good sharp bowl point etc.
SOLID STERLING SILVER FIDDLE DESSERT FORKS ‘R’ 1914 Here are 3 heavy sterling silver dessert/side forks by James Dixon & Sons, fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1914. Each has a single initial ‘R’ to handle. In overall good shape with minor prong wear from use.
BRIGHT CUT OLD ENGLISH STERLING SILVER TEASPOONS 1809 Here are 3 bright cut Old English pattern teaspoons by Stephen Adams, bearing partial hallmarks for London 1809. Each has a single initial ‘M’ to handle. Good and lightly used, sharp bowl tips, one has a minor knock to underside of bowl.
STERLING SILVER ENAMEL LONDON SOUVENIR SPOON 1936 A good looking souvenir spoon with enameled crest to handle and engraved ‘London’ to the gilt bowl interior. Made by Barker Bros Silver and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1936. No dents or damage, some slight rub wear to the white area of enameling.
LONDON STERLING SILVER ENAMEL SOUVENIR SPOON 1936 A good looking souvenir spoon with enamel and gilt coat of arms to handle and gilt bowl interior. Made by Turner & Simpson and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1936. No dents or damage, minor surface marks

STERLING SILVER ANOINTING SPOON HASELER 1936 A good sterling silver anointing spoon made to commemorate the Coronation of King George VI in 1936. Made by W.H. Haseler, silversmiths to Liberty & Co. No dents or damage
ANTIQUE WANG HING CHINESE EXPORT SOLID SILVER TEASPOON A good spoon by Wang Hing with pierced work Chinese characters to handle. No dents or damage
SOLID SILVER ANTIKO ROSE PATTERN COCKTAIL FORK & SPOON A nice couple of continental 800 standard silver pieces with rose pattern handles. No dents or damage, minor use marks
ANTIQUE MUSSEL SHELL & BRASS SNUFF BOX An antique novelty snuff box made from a mussel shell with brass underside incorporating a hinged lid cover. Old crack to shell but it is still solid enough. Some age related tarnish/wear. Lid works fine etc.
GOOD VINTAGE COLOURED GLASS AND GILT SCENT BOTTLE A nice looking piece, probably Bohemian in origin and deco period. Decorated with giltwork. The lid incorporates a perfume dabber. Glass in fine condition, no chips. Some rub to the giltwork decoration. The top lid join end of the dabber has some slight residue from previous use.
LARGE QUANTITY VINTAGE ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED ITEMS This is a large table full of vintage & antique silver plated items. All are sold together as 1 lot, i.e. winner receives everything seen on the table. There are a total of 54 items including teapots, sugar bowls, serving bowls, large cigarette box, set of 6 art deco sundae dishes, flatware sets etc. This is a heavy lot at over 13.5kg unpacked weight. Variable and as found. Most are dent free. Most require a good polish. Some will have plate wear. A few pieces have damage/repairs. Not a bad lot overall.
