ANTIQUE OLD SHEFFIELD SILVER PLATED OPEN SALTS C. 1790 A pair of Old Sheffield Plate (silver on copper) pedestalled open salts c. 1790. One has a blue liner which is probably a replacement made especially for it. One still has a degree of its original gilt interior. Both are gleaming silver with some slight copper bleed and salt related wear to interiors. One has a tiny pinprick sized hole to body. Liner excellent

It has a beautiful ruby and clear cut glass base. The front is engraved ‘UPPINGHAM SCHOOL SCRATCH FOURS ROWED AT CAMBRIDGE NOV 1880’, on another side is the list of rowers and on the third the coat of arms of Uppingham School. The trophy was made by Munce of Cambridge. One small dent to front and slightly out of shape at rim. Glass intact. It has obviously not been polished in some time and has some age related surface marks

SUPERB ANTIQUE AUSTRIAN SOLID SILVER TABLE SNUFF BOX This is a beautifully engraved early c.20th Austrian solid silver table snuff box with gilt interior. It is 935 standard silver (purer than sterling). One near invisible tiny surface knock to the front vertical side and a couple to the rear vertical side but no major dents or damage whatsoever. Gilt interior is superb.
BEAUTIFUL COMYNS STERLING SILVER POMANDER BOX 1910 A very fine looking antique sterling silver pomander box by William Comyns, fully hallmarked for London 1910. This would have been used to scent a room or drawer. The pierced work lid is finely decorated and the body has nice repouse scrollwork. A very unusual piece by a superior maker. Has some shallow knocks to its underside and interior rim but visible area is fine and dent free. Quite lovely.
ORNATE SOLID STERLING SILVER SNUFF BOX CHESTER 1897 A good looking and heavyweight sterling silver snuff box fully hallmarked for Chester 1897, made by William Neale. It has a conjoined monogram of ‘RAE’ to lid. Overall very nice, the lid has a split to each end of its front vertical corners but the silver is so thick that it doesn’t really matter too much. No dents. Rear right side corner area has a small scratch. Gilt interior is part rubbed.
