Small manufacturing slip blip to the front at neck area. There is a small circular area to the left side of the lettering where some slip has been patched during manufacture. Fine crazing to rim & neck interior and to lid. Tight vertical rim hairline. There iare 2 small circular areas to the left side of the lettering where slip has been applied as a ‘surface patch’ during manufacture and a small dig to middle blue band and a few more small firing anomolies. TG GREEN CORNISHWARE USA STICK BUTTER DISH LID Item #27029 A T.G. Green Cornish Kitchen Ware ‘stick’ butter dish lid made for the American market c. 1950. The base dish is not original and not TG Green but the lid does fit fairly well on it. Lid: No chips, has a small ‘bruise’ hairline visible to interior but hardly visible at all from exterior. Interestingly the mortar backstamp is Cloverleaf with the Mason Cash mark to the pestle, so presumably was one of the first things out of the factory when MC took over from Cloverleaf.
