The following items will be auctioned on ebay on Thursday 9 September. Mainly souvenir spoons. Of particular note are a superb Antique silver and hand enamelled Cannes spoon and a highly rare silver & enamel Fiji spoon from 1905. Also 2 good pieces of Samson Mordan silver inluding an early Victorian propelling pencil.
S. MORDAN STERLING SILVER PROPELLING PENCIL LONDON 1855 An early sterling silver propelling pencil by S. Mordan & Co, fully hallmarked for London 1855. Takes size ‘M’ leads. The top chamber has 7 lead compartments. Overall good, still works etc. Some small knocks to the shaft and a slight split at the tip but doesn’t look like its going to affect its use.
S. MORDAN STERLING SILVER CIGAR PIERCER LONDON 1915 A sterling silver Hardtmuth patent cigar piercer by Samson Mordan & Co, fully hallmarked for London 1915. Has a loop for attaching to a keyring etc. Still works fine, some knocks to the rim and hallmarks part rubbed but legible.
STERLING SILVER GILT DURHAM CATHEDRAL SPOON 1911 A fine looking sterling silver gilt souvenir spoon of Durham Cathedral, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1911 and made by Sydney & Co. No dents or damage
UNUSUAL STERLING SILVER SAILING SHIP COMPACT 1928 A very unusual compact fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1928 maker Daniel Manufacturing Company. The lid is made from a an early plastic faux mother of pearl and is nicely etch engraved and coloured with a sailing ship at full mast. Some small knocks to the silver. Interior mirror has a blemish to one edge but still a useable piece.

GOOD CHARLES HORNER SIZE 11 SILVER THIMBLE This is an early c.20th size 11 thimble by Charles Horner. It is not hallmarked but has Horners silver mark, so technically sold as ‘white metal’, but it is silver. No dents or damage

UNUSUAL DOUBLE STRUCK GERMAN SOLID SILVER SUGAR TONGS An unusual pair of antique German tongs, the pattern being double struck (i.e. both outside and inside of arms have the pattern) and the interior gilt washed. These are 800 standard silver. Made by Bruckmann & Sohne. No damage, very slight kinks to arms

SUPER ANTIQUE ENAMEL SOLID SILVER CANNES SOUVENIR SPOON This is such a beautiful spoon! Hand enameled scene of Cannes harbour area to bowl and hand enameled badge set with gilt fleur-de-lis and wheat sheath. Made in Germany and bears 800 silver markings with French import marks. Will date c. 1900 Partial gilt rub but otherwise excellent, no damage to the enamel work.
VINTAGE ENAMEL ALBERTA CANADA SILVER PLATED SPOON This is a lovely vintage silver plated souvenir spoon from Canada with well hand enameled badge of Alberta and further hand enameling of Banff Alta to bowl. No dents or damage, gleaming silver, no plate wear. One solitary crackle line in the bowl glaze.

4x SOLID SILVER ENAMEL TURKEY SOUVENIR SPOONS Here are 4 vintage souvenir spoons from Turkey, 2 are from Troy (Truva). All have same pattern to handles. No dents, minor digs to one bowl but probably how it was made. The Crescent spoon has slight enamel digs.

ANTIQUE ENAMEL SPOON INTELLIGENCE INTEGRITY INDUSTRY A very fine looking antique spoon with a beautifully enameled badge and the motto ‘Intelligence. Integrity, Industry’. We believe this is late c. 19th or very early c.20th at the latest. It has no markings so sold as ‘white metal’ Minor surface marks to the enamel but is all intact. Some tarnish to the gilt washed areas.
