ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED PRESERVE POT FRAME ELKINGTON 1874 Item #27358 This is a very nice looking silver plated twin preserve pot coaster by Elkington with a good carrying handle. Dates accurately to 1874. Many modern sized honey/jam pots will fit inside so it is a usable piece. Internal diameter of each holder is approx 7.8cm Gleaming silver, no plate wear, one foot slightly off perfect flat but stands well on the table. GOOD WALKER & HALL SILVER PLATED 3 PIECE TEASET Item #27359 This is a very nice looking antique 3 piece set by Walker & Hall of Sheffield. Teapot is approx 2 pints capacity. Gleaming silver, no dents or damage other than a very tiny small knock to underside to spout. Minor plate wear to the sugar bowl handles and a tiny spot of wear to the milk jug handle. Pot interior is partly tea tarnished. SEMI FLUTED WALKER & HALL SILVER PLATED 3 PIECE TEASET Item #27360 This is an antique 3 piece set by Walker & Hall of Sheffield. Teapot is 2.5 pints capacity. Nice shape to it and usable but the teapot does have some repairs. Fairly gleaming silver, no dents. There is historical resoldering to the spout area and a resolder crack above this but it is watertight. Still a fairly good looking set. Slight plate wear to fluting and tea tarnish to interior. MATTHEW BOULTON OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE CHAMBERSTICKS Item #27367 Here are a pair of ‘storm’ chambersticks by the famous Matthew Boulton, made c. 1800. Originally these would have had glass chimneys but can still be used without them. One has lost its handle. One has lots its handle and has some historical resoldering and a small dent to rim. The other has a small piece missing to its handle and some historical cement to its interior of the candle holder (not as a repair but probably to better support a candle ). ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER PLATED LION MASK WINE COOLER a/f Item #27385 This is an early c.20th French silver plated wine cooler with large lion mask and ring handles. Has a slight issue with a seam join but worth getting it repaired. Gleaming silver to exterior with some slight wear. Interior has wear and water marks. The seam join is split slightly at base at one side and is currently not watertight, it shouldn’t be a big job to resolder it and could probably be done from the interior. GBP29.99 click here to view item in our store
4X VINTAGE EGYPTIAN NIELLO WHITE METAL NAPKIN RINGS Item #27386 Here are 4 vintage Egyptian napkin rings with lovely niello work decoration of scenes along the Nile. Sold as ‘white metal’ as they have no silver markings but they do have a signature to the niello work. Generally very good, a couple of minor knocks but no major dents or damage. PAIR VINTAGE DANISH SOLID SILVER 6 INCH CANDLESTICKS Item #27389 A good pair of vintage candlesticks by Svend Toxvaerd of Copenhagen. These are 830 standard silver, filled and baised bases. Year mark is not very visible but looks to be ‘52’ for 1952. A couple of minor knocks but no real dents. One stick is very slightly off perfect vertical when rotated but it hardly notices. GEORGE III STERLING SILVER CUT GLASS CRUET SET C. 1808 Item #27419 This is an interesting sterling silver cruet set with original cut glass bottles and large sterling silver mustard pot. The stand is fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1808, maker IW (John Watson) and weighs 427g. 2 of the glass bottles have silver lids also fully hallmarked for Sheffield, same maker, date letters part rubbed but also appear to be 1808. The mustard pot has an armorial device of crossed arms wearing armour and the monogram ‘AMA’. Has its original blue glass liner. The pot interestingly bears Newcastle assay marks to its side yet Sheffield ones to its lid and rim, so was probably converted from an earlier Newcastle piece to match the set. The Sheffield date letter to lid again appears to be 1808 although it is rubbed. The mustard spoon is later Victorian London assayed one. Total weighable silver is 582g. Stand: Historical resoldering to feet (the bun feet may have been later replacements) and some knocks to frame but in overall good shape. Hallmarks rubbed to the flat surface but quite clear to the frame. Mustard pot: minor knocks and a small thin section of the upper rim missing. Glass liner is chipped at one corner. Spoon fine. Bottles: stoppers have chips. Small splits to silver lids but they fit tightly. Cayenne spoon is damaged at bowl and has some verdigris. Bottles themselves have some small chips and one has a crack and reglued section but is still useable. GBP499.99 click here to view item in our store
