HEAVY ANTIQUE SOLID STERLING SILVER BONBON DISH BOWL Item #27600 This is a very nice German cast silver bonbon dish with English import hallmarks for London 1900. The pierced work body incorporates peacocks and florals. It is actually 930 standard silver, so slightly purer than sterling silver. It’s a very attractive and heavy piece of silver for its size. No dents, there are some minor bumps to the interior base but these were caused by the striking of the hallmarks, not by ‘damage’. STERLING SILVER 3 PIECE CRUET SET BIRMINGHAM 1936 Item #27610 A sterling silver 3 piece cruet set fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1936, made by Cohen & Charles. The mustard and open salt pots have bristol blue glass liners, the liner to the pepper pot is unfortunately cracked but it is at its top so can still be used.. Silver weight is 42g. Salt & mustard pots are 4cm diameter and pepper pot is 5cm tall. Possible resolder to the mustard pot hinge but may just be how it was made, doesn’t look at all bad and hardly notices. Small knock to lid. Liner has a chip to rim. Salt pot liner has a small rim chip. BEAUTIFUL WILLIAM IV STERLING SILVER TEAPOT 1837 Item #27629 A fine looking sterling silver teapot fully hallmarked for London 1837, maker William Hewitt. Approximately 1.5 pint capacity. No dents other than a tiny knock to the handle from where the lid rests when opened. One tiny pinprick hole to one of the raised florals to the lid (may even be a steam release hole). One foot has a historical repair but it hardly notices, you can just see a small hole at a certain angle. Interior is lightly tea-tarnished.. Comprises solid silver shoe horn, clothes brush, small hairbrush, buttonhook, 2x powder pots, 2x scent bottles and 1x pin jar. The shoehorn is quite a heavy piece of silver, by itself weighing 60g. Some small knocks/dents to most pieces. Brush bristles good for age and not balding. Lid to one of the scent bottles is currently stuck in place. Lid to one of the small jars has a part split around the circle surrounding the monogram. STERLING SILVER URN FORM PEPPER POT BIRMINGHAM 1899 Item #27662 A nice looking piece shaped as an urn with half fluted body and terminating in a spiral twist finial to lid. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, makers marks are rubbed. Has a push and possible resolder to its base seam area at the pot and pedestal join. Slight wobble on the flat. The lid is definitely original to the base but does seem to be quite loose, could be kept tightly in place by winding some cotton thread around the lid base (which would then be hidden when on the pot). ART DECO STERLING SILVER TEA & COFFEE SET 1931 1588g Item #27677 A large and heavyweight art deco 4 piece set by Barker Brothers Silver Ltd, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1931. No monograms or engravings. Teapot is 2 pints capacity, measures 27cm spout to handle and weighs 609g. Coffee jug is 25cm tall and weighs 628g. Sugar bowl is 17.5cm across the handles and weighs 209g. Milk jug is 12cm spout to handle and weighs 142g. Total weight 1588g. In quite splendid condition, the only dent being to the underside of the teapot. Mild tarnish to teapot interior. SET OF CZECH SOLID SILVER CUP HOLDERS & SAUCERS C. 1925 Item #27679 A nice suite of 6 solid silver demitasse coffee cup holders and saucers made in Czechoslovakia c. 1925, with original Czech porcelain coffee cans. Silver is 800 standard and weighs 297g. Silver is generally fine with minor knocks to a few of the saucers and a few of the cups, no really major dents.
