ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED SPIRIT KETTLE MAPPIN & WEBB Item #28376 A silver plated spirit kettle on original stand and with its burner. One side is engraved as shown with a 1911 date. Made by Mappin & Webb in their Princes Plate range. Approx 1.5 pint capacity. Does have issues. Some dents to the body of the kettle and some plate wear in patches. C.19TH OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE TELESCOPIC CANDLESTICKS Item #28377 A pair of Old Sheffield Plate candlesticks with telescopic (extending) shafts and heavily weighted bases. Overall gleaming silver with partial copper bleed. One has repairs and some as shown in photos and no longer stays in place when extended, the other stays in place , has no repairs but has some dents at its base. SET OF 4 SILVER PLATED ON COPPER DRINKS COASTERS Item #28378 A set of 4 drinks coasters in the form of miniature wine bottle coasters, with turned oak bases and ropetwist rim decoration. Silver plated on copper. One has a minor knock to body. All are gleaming silver with some minor plate wear. They may have been replated at some stage. ORNATE ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED GLASS BISCUIT BARREL 1869 Item #28423 A slightly OTT Victorian silver plated and hobnail pressed glass biscuit barrel, the lid with chased decoration and the base dish having a pierced and engraved gallery. The heavy glass liner bears diamond registration marks for 1869. Would look quite splendid if replated. Plating is generally worn back to a brassy colour but quite consistently so. SUPERB ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER GLASS CRUET SET 1820 Item #28428 A fine looking and well constructed sterling silver cruet set complete with its original 8 cut glass bottles/jars. Made by John Edward Terry, the silver lidded jars are hallmarked for London 1818 and 1820, the cayenne spoon for 1820 and the frame marks are rubbed but definitely also by Terry. The underside of the frame has a good original wooden insert for structural strength. Frame: fine, solid, no obvious signs of repair. Minor tarnish. Bottles: Generally very good for age with flea-biting to the glass but no major chips other than to a couple of the stopper ends and some minor chips to the bases of the jars. ANTIQUE GEORGE III STERLING SILVER GLASS CRUET SET 1799 Item #28429 A fine looking sterling silver cruet set base complete with 4 of its original 8 cut glass bottles/jars and 4 replacements. Made by Robert & David Hennell, all of the silver pieces hallmarked for London 1799. The underside of the frame has a good original wooden insert for structural strength. The 2 vinegar bottles are particularly nice pieces. Both mustard pots have an initial ‘C’ to lid and one has an armorial identical to the one on the frame itself. Frame: fine, solid, no obvious signs of repair. Minor tarnish. Original Glassware: Both mustard pots have damage to their flared glass base rims, minor knocks to the silver. Both vinegar bottles seem structurally fine, one of the handles has probably had a historical resolder. Replacement Glassware: Doesn’t all match but does generally fit, a couple of bottles slightly tight to frame. Some chips to these bottles. GBP599.99 click here to view item in our store

We presume these are ‘late deco’ (i.e. post WW2). Teapots are approx 0.5-0.75 pint capacity. All are gleaming silver. Some dents to the teapots. Minor wear to interior of the sugar bowl.
