LOVELY ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER PLATED PEPPER MILL Item #28480 This is a very nice looking c.19th silver plated pepper mill with engraved vacant shield device to front. The top of the handle currently has a screw in place to assist turning, originally it would have had a ball finial of some kind. 3X VICTORIAN SILVER PLATED COCKTAIL/SANDWICH MARKERS Item #28482 Here are 3 nice pieces that would either have been used as cherry/olive sticks or as some form of sandwich marker or holder. 2 are shaped as arrows and were made by JG (could be a number of makers but definitely pre 1896 from the crown mark) and the sword shaped one made by Atkin Brothers of Sheffield. All are gleaming silver, the 2 arrows have slight wear and scratching to their pointed ends. GBP19.99 click here to view item in our store
SILVER PLATED SALT & PEPPER POT 71 HEAVY AA REGIMENT Item #28483 A pair of salt and pepper pots once used by the 71st Heavy Anti-Aircraft regiment of the Royal Artillery (markings to the pepper pot only). Made by Gladwin of Sheffield. Pepper pot is gleaming silver with a few knocks, salt pot shows some plate wear and some salt related wear to lid and a minor body knock. SILVER PLATED SALT & PEPPER POTS ROYAL ARTILLERY Item #28484 A suite of salt and pepper pots once used by the Royal Artillery (markings to 3 of the pepper pots only and military markings to underside of another). Various Sheffield makers marks but all effectively the same pattern. There are 4 pepper pots, 1 salt pot and 2 open mustard pots with liners (or open salts if you prefer). All are gleaming silver, some surface marks/scratches from use but are very well plated. ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED WARMING/CHAFFING DISH INITIAL ‘B’ Item #28486 A nice looking c.19th small warming dish with lid engraved with a single initial ‘B’. It has a reservoir to base for filling with hot water. Gleaming silver with partial plate wear mainly to the interior and the handles. Some knocks to the lid. ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED SAUCE BOATS INITIAL ‘B’ Item #28487 A nice near pair (one is smaller than other) of sauce boats by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co of Regents Street. Both are engraved with a single initial ‘B’ to one side. Both gleaming silver with some small spots to interiors and slight brass bleed to0 the feet. The smaller of the 2 has one of its feet slightly askew but still stands well. We do know that this was used by the Royal Artillery but have no physical proof, it was with many other items of RA related mess room/dining room plate that we acquired. Will almost certainly date c. 1940. Capacity approx 1 pint. Gleaming silver but with partial plate wear mainly to the top section. Some dents. STERLING SILVER CORINTHIAN COLUMN CANDLESTICKS 1908 Item #28516 An antique pair of sterling silver Corinthian Column candlesticks by J.Richard Attenborough Co, fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1908. Weighted bases with green baize undersides. In overall good shape with some minor knocks and small splits/holes/repairs in the silver but nothing too major. FINE C.19TH SILVER PLATED BREAKFAST WARMER JAMES DIXON Item #28518 A good looking piece by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield made c. 1870. Raised on hoof and rams head feet with ornate chased decoration to sides of lid and ferns to top of lid. Does not have its original interior trays. Gleaming mirror-like silver, some very minor wear at the fern decoration and slightly to the interior base. A few small knocks to the lid.
