ANTIQUE WALKER & HALL 3 PIECE SILVER PLATED TEASET Item #28520 A c.19th piece set by Walker & Hall. Teapot is 2.5 pints capacity. Gleaming silver, teapot has a shallow dent to the front of body to left of spout and a slight push to one of the feet. There is very slight plate wear at the gadrooned rims and a small horizontal line of wear to body on each side. Interior has some slight residual tea tarnish but should lift with further attention. Sugar bowl: no dents or damage – some very feint plate spots to interior. Milk Jug: no dents or damage, some slight plate spotting to interior. GBP39.99 click here to view item in our store
ORNATE LARGE C.19TH SILVER PLATED CLARET JUG Item #28523 A fine looking piece, this is a large size c.19th silver plated claret jug with ornate chased decoration. Would hold at least 1 bottle of wine. Gleaming silver , a few shallow dents to body and some surface scratches. There is an area of plate wear below the top join of the handle to body. ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED SPIRIT KETTLE WITH STAND Item #28524 An Edwardian silver plated spirit kettle on stand by Atkin Brothers of Sheffield. Has some issues but still useable and not too bad looking. Plating is partly worn but still has an overall gleam. Some burnish marks to underside of kettle and stand. The burner no longer screws together properly although there is nothing missing other than the wick, ideally it needs a new one. ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED GLASS & STERLING CRUET SET 1852 Item #28527 A nice looking set on ornate silver plated on copper frame. The glassware is all original other than the stoppers. The 2 pepper pots and mustard pot have sterling silver lids fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1852, maker Henry Manton. The smaller bottle is complete with a gilt cayenne spoon to its stopper. Comes with plated large Walker & Hall mustard spoon. Stand is gleaming silver with some minor wear to exterior and some ring marks etc to the interior from where the bottles rest but it doesn’t notice when in use. Possible resoldering to the leg joins but it is a very sturdy stand. Bottles generally good with some slight fleabiting, chipping to one of the pepper rims. Silver pepper pot lids have dents, one has some silver loss and are currently loose. ART NOUVEAU WMF SILVER PLATED CENTREPIECE BOWL Item #28529 A classic piece of WMF nouveau metalwork complete with its original blue glass liner. Stylized whiplash design to handles and with butterflies to each central panel. A flower attached to one handle, the other has unfortunately broken away. Plating is fairly worn but still an attractive piece. One flower has broken off as mentioned. MAD VICTORIAN SOWERBY GLASS GILT CHERUBS CENTREPIECE Item #28530 A very kitsch Victorian piece – the vibrant blue hobnail pressed glass is a lovely crescent shape and almost certainly made by Sowerby, The frame has gilt cherub/putti at each end and rests on a britannia metal base raised on 4 feet. There are traces of gilt to the leaves so originally it quite likely the whole piece was gold coloured. Glass is fine with minor fleabites only. Both require some attention as both are missing one of their pieces to keep the lid in place. No interior trays. Both gleaming silver with some plate wear, surface scratches and some dents to lids. Lid has an armorial device of a plumed crown. Made by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co of Regent Street. Has an interior removable tray. Comes with a Wm Hutton ladle. Overall gleaming silver, some slight plate wear and with no dents. The interior tray shows more pronounced plate wear. STERLING SILVER HOBNAIL CUT GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE Item #28561 A nice looking deep cut glass scent bottle with ornate sterling silver mount. Hallmarks unfortunately rubbed. Minor fleabites to the glass, no major chips. The neck has probably been ground down a little as the silver overlaps at the top and has some knocks.
