ART DECO SILVER PLATED COVERED MUFFIN DISH SHEFFIELD Item #26978 A lovely deco period silver plated muffin dish with lid and removable liner tray. The lid finial is made from bakelite. Sheffield made. Gleaming silver with some minor plate wear to the underside of lid and base and some very shallow knocks to the liner and underside. Some very minor plate spots. ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER FISH SERVERS 1901 Item #28570 A pair of sterling silver fish servers by Hilliard & Thomason, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1901. Unusually smaller sized. The knife needs some attention. By some simple math there has to be c.70g of sterling silver here (about 2.1 troy oz) Knife is a little loose at its handle join, although still useable it ideally needs resetting. ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER MOTHER OF PEARL KNIVES FORKS Item #28584 A part suite of 6 knives and 5 forks with beautiful mother of pearl handles and sterling silver uppers. The set has obviously been built up/replaced over the years – the earliest pieces are fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1859 and 1864 and replacements date Birmingham 1878/1879 and London 1911. One of the knife handles is currently completely off. The silver weight by simple math (half the weight of the flatware) will be approx 230g or 7.1 troy oz All handles are fine and useable, no chips etc other than the broken knife has a small chip where it would meet its blade hilt. ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED DISH FRAME ELKINGTON 1884 Item #28599 What a lovely looking piece! Engraved with butterflies and with its lid knob formed as a butterfly, The sleigh shaped frame would have originally held a glass liner and was used either as a butter dish or sardine dish. Bears registration number accurately dating design to 1878 and has Elkingtons date letter ‘Y’ for manufacture in 1884. Gleaming silver with partial plate wear to the lid. LOVELY ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER TRINKET DISH 1899 Item #28617 A very nice looking rectangular trinket dish with repouse decoration of 2 ladies being serenaded by a man playing a lyre. Made by Henry Matthews and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1899. Some small knocks and a pinprick sized hole to rim. There is a split along the top join of the flat surface to the rim but it is only noticeable when you put pressure on the base, it cant even be seen in normal use. GOOD CUT GLASS SILVER PLATED PEDESTAL BOWL C. 1920 Item #28622 A nice looking piece made by Bramwell & Co of Sheffield c. 1920, the cut glass bowl is of very nice quality and raised on silver plated faceted plinth. Could be used as either a fruit bowl or a pudding serving bowl etc. Just one tiny chip to the rim of the bowl which is near impossible to see without searching for it and smooth to touch.
