SUPERB HORSERACING STERLING SILVER VESTA CASE 1894 This is a splendid sterling silver vesta case by William Neale, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1894 and with a delightful raised scene of horseracing to front, the rear monogrammed ‘ASG’. No dents or damage, minor surface marks, good tight lid.
ANTIQUE RUSSIAN SOLID SILVER SNUFF BOX MOSCOW 1845 A heavy solid silver snuff box bearing Moscow assay marks for 1845, assayer Andrei Kovalsky, maker unknown. Gilt washed interior. Lid depicts a scene of probably the Bronze Horseman statue at St Isaac’s cathedral and a harbour scene to the rear with sailing ship. Cross hatch decoration to the 4 sides. Decoration to lid is part rubbed, fairly clear to underside. Structurally fine with minor surface marks.
SCOTTISH PROVINCIAL SOLID SILVER DUMFRIES TABLESPOONS Here are 4 rare matching ‘Scottish Fiddle’ pattern tablespoons by David Gray of Dumfries, c. 1810-1841. No monograms. Rare to find any tablespoons from Dumfries, let alone a set of 4. Comes with a ‘free’ David Gray teaspoon too! The teaspoon has a single letter ‘W’ monogram to handle. Overall very good, one has a slight dent to bowl from underside. Teaspoon has slight tip wear and a couple of small pinpricks to bowl. Some minor tarnish, we haven’t polished these.
SET 6 STERLING SILVER LARGE FIDDLE SALT SPOONS 1848 A rare set of 6 sterling silver fiddle shape salt spoons fully hallmarked for London 1848 maker William Robert Smily. Monogrammed with a single initial ‘W’. No dents, some very feint salt related tarnish marks to bowls.
WMF SECESSIONIST SILVER PLATED CANDLESTICK PATTERN 334A A good looking silver plated candlestick by WMF, very early c.20th. No dents or damage, gleaming silver with some quite minor plate wear
HEAVY LARGE ANTIQUE CHINESE DRAGON BRASS BOWL SIGNED A very heavy large brass fruit bowl with chased decoration of a dragon and bird within Greek key borders. The underside is signed in raised Chinese characters inside a raised dragon device. International buyers please note that this has to come via Fedex due to its weight, it is too heavy for regular airmail when packed. No dents, some minor verdigris/pitting to interior
ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED COFFEE PERCOLATOR A c.19th silver plated on brass coffee percolator, probably French. Would originally have had a glass interior liner to the base cup and requires one if it is to be used. Gleaming silver with partial brass/copper bleed. One very minor dent to base rim of cup section.
GOOD ANTIQUE MINTON MAJOLICA CLARET JUG 1867 A very nice looking Minton’s piece with Bacchus type spout and raised quatrefoil and bead decoration on a cobalt blue and grey banded ground. Fully marked for 1867. No cracks, no real chips just some minor nibbles to the scrolled handle on one side. No repairs. In overall splendid condition for age.
GOOD ANTIQUE WMF SILVER PLATED WINE BOTTLE COASTER A very nice antique WMF silver plated and turned wood wine bottle coaster. Silver is gleaming, unworn. The wooden baize has some wear to its varnish. There is one fixing pin missing so the wood has some very slight movement in its base but still perfectly useable as is. No baize to underside.
LOVELY ANTIQUE CHINESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL DRAGON PLANTER A very nice looking older Chinese cloisonné enamel planter pot in a nice 2-tone blue and white with gold wirework depicting dragons above stylistic mountains. Some small pinpricks in the enamel but no major losses other than a small chip to the interior of the pot. No dents.
ANTIQUE JAPANESE MEIJI BRONZE SPELTER FLOWER VASE A nice Meiji period spelter vase with raised bird and floral decoration to each side. This has not been cleaned in many years and has a good bronze patina to its surface. Some minor surface marks and light surface verdigris, no dents other than a minor knock to base rim
VERY UNUSUAL ANTIQUE FIGURAL MAN FOOD MOULD A highly unusual mould in the form of a man with hat and fur trimmed jacket wearing boots, origin unknown but was found with some oriental items that we have on ebay this week. Appears to be made of a gun-metal or spelter. Overall good with the usual age related wear. Its original fixing pins are missing and it is currently held together with wire
SUPERB SOLID SILVER GILT THRONE ANOINTING SPOON 1901 A beautiful spoon made to commemorate the Coronation of King Edward VII. Silver gilt with throne finial, made by Saunders & Shepherd and fully hallmarked for London 1901. Comes in its original jewelers presentation case. Silver weight is 15g. Spoon is literally in excellent condition, case just has some very minor edge scuffs.
GOOD PAIR INDIAN SILVER NAPKIN RINGS A nice pair of early c.20th silver napkin rings with hand decorated scenes of huts and trees. Pacific rim origin. Technically sold as ‘white metal’ as have no markings. No damage
LARGE STERLING SILVER EASEL BACKED PHOTO FRAME 1922 A larger sized frame with wooden easel back and original glass. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1922. Visible photo area will be 142mm by 194mm. Some shallow dents to the silver but no splits. Missing one of its corner restrainers to rear and wood has some slight chipping at corners. Still stands as intended.

UNUSUAL ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER GATESHEAD SPOON 1904 A sterling silver spoon for Gateshead unusually imported from the USA and bearing import marks for London 1904. Slight kink to handle, slight wear to pattern.

ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER FRENCH BUTTER KNIFE INITIAL ‘E’ A lovely antique French solid silver (950 standard) butter knife with very ornate bright cut handle engraved with a single initial ‘E’. Slight gap at handle join but still good and sturdy. There is a cosmetic break at the top of the handle on one side, doesn’t cause any problems.

UNUSUAL EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER PLATED TOASTRACK 1844 A silver plated toast rack of unusual form and very early too – it bears diamond registration marks accurately dating its design to 1844. Gleaming silver with some minor plate wear and tarnish, slightly out of perfect shape at its base but for its 167 years age it is not bad at all.
ANTIQUE ORIENTAL SILVER MOUNTED BAMBOO HILT HANDLE An interesting piece – this is a handle made from bamboo and decorated with silver rings and a longer central panel of silver that also contains some ‘random’ small spots of what appears to be gold that may have been from original decoration or impurity in the silver. Nice end mount. Presumably it is Japanese or Chinese. There are no markings to the silver (it is definitely silver) so we technically have to sell it as ‘white metal’. As found – obviously whatever it is it is incomplete. There are creases, splits, some tarnish to silver and some missing silver etc.
ORNATE ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER NAPKIN RING ‘BV’ 1905 A nice looking antique sterling silver napkin ring fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1905, maker G E Walton & Co Ltd (George Edwin Walton). Engraved with initials ‘BV’. There is a small knock to one of the crimped rims but overall very nice.

ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER NAPKIN RING INITIAL ‘B’ 1907 A good sterling silver napkin ring fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1907, maker J Sherwood & Sons. Engraved with a single initial ‘B’ to exterior. The interior has an engraved date ‘25th December 1909’. No dents or damage, the silver seam join is ‘visible’ slightly and there are a few small scratches.
