VINTAGE CASED SILVER PLATED FISH SERVERS Item #23999 A pair of fish servers in original case. Silver plated with composite handles. Beaded ferrules. Ornate engraving. Both gleaming silver and fairly lightly used. Case in good order. GBP15.99 click here to view item in our store



ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED FISH EATERS GOLDSMITHS CO 1892 Item #24123 A good set of 24 fish eaters in original wooden canteen. These are good longer length pieces with silver plated blades and sterling silver ferrules fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1892. Made by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co of Regent Street, London. 2 forks have cracks to handles at their ferrule join areas but fairly smooth and not a structural problem. All are gleaming silver with average use marks, no plate wear. A few handles have some discoloration. Canteen is missing its brass plaque to lid and has some tears to its silk interior lining. Some minor damage to front right corner of the canteen base. No key and lid doesn’t currently shut properly. GBP59.99 click here to view item in our store



STERLING SILVER PISTOL GRIP CASED BREAK KNIFE AND FORK Item #24194 A beautiful and unusual cased set of large pistol grip handled bread carving knife and 3 pronged bread serving fork. Both pieces are fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1903 and made by James Deakin & Sons. Handles engraved with single initial ‘B’. Knife blade has scratches from re-sharpening. VINTAGE SILVER PLATED CANTEEN WALKER & HALL ST JAMES Item #24792 A good silver plated suite of early c.20th Walker & Hall St James pattern in canteen complete with Walker & Hall ivorine handled dinner and side knives and carving fork and steel. Comprises 6 each of dinner forks, dinner knives, side knives, dessert spoons, soup spoons, table spoons, cake forks + carving fork and sharpening steel. There are only 5 of the original 6 side forks but fairly easy to find a modern replacement one on ebay. Total 50 pieces. Silverware is all gleaming with average use marks but no plate wear, carving set good with slide blade edge wear from sharpening etc. Cutlery again good with surface marks to blades from use but not excessive. Made by George Wish of Sheffield c. 1880 There are some cosmetic crack to handles but they are still absolutely rigid and smooth to the touch. Forks exhibit more wear than the knives with some wear patches particularly to rears. One fork has a loose ferrule and there are the odd gaps at ferrules. Knives quite good. Some stains to handles. LOVELY ANTIQUE ORNATE SILVER & AGATE PLAID BROOCH Item #29840 A lovely ‘double ring’ brooch set with different coloured agates. Definitely silver although unmarked, nicely chased decoration. Would work equally nicely as a jacket or scarf brooch and also has a loop to back so can be worn as a pendant on a necklace. Pepper pot: a few tiny surface knocks and minor tarnish. SOLID STERLING SILVER FIDDLE TABLE FORKS DUBLIN 448g Item #29842 A set of 6 sterling silver dinner table forks in the fiddle pattern, each with armorial device to rear of handle of a knights arm holding a broken spear above a castle turret. Each fork is fully hallmarked for Dublin with differing years and makers but all bear the same retailers stamp of ‘Gardner’ – there are 3x Dublin 1840 maker Josiah Lowe, 2x Dublin 1828 maker Edward Power and 1x Dublin 1843 maker P.W. Some prong tip wear but nothing too excessive. Missing its internal stopper. No damage other than a tiny knock to rear of lid from where it rests on the glass when opened. Glass is fine with some minor residue/feint bloom from previous contents. STERLING SILVER AYNSLEY CHERUBS COFFEE SET 1904 Item #29849 A cased set of 6 ceramic coffee cups and saucers by Aynsley with sterling silver cup holders in a lovely Cherubs design, fully hallmarked for London 1903, maker Wm Hutton & Sons. The lid also has a hallmarked sterling silver plaque that is engraved ‘Presented to Sir Francis Hayden Green Bart (Baronet) on the occasion of his marriage by the staff and boys of the boys home Regents Park Sept 28th 1904’. Weighable silver is 144g. One cup has been professionally stapled at a crack, another has a couple of tight historic rim hairlines. One saucer has been reglued, another has a mild bruise/slightly stained glaze craze at its interior. All pieces have fine overall eggshell glaze crazing. Silver is all fine. ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER & GOLD CARD CASE AIDE MEMOIRE Item #29854 A most beautiful aide memoire and card case, the covers in bright cut solid silver and gold. The front has a large oval multicolor moss agate stone inset, the rear beautifully decorated with a harbor scene and a rising sun.
