Each is approx 6 inches square give or take. Art Nouveau: Some small side chips and surface marks/glaze rub One has a chip to rear. Decorated with a prunus type blossom with good shell shaped ferrules. There is 1 missing fork otherwise 12 place settings. Made by Allen & Darwin of Sheffield c. 1875. One fork missing. One knife showing wear to blade, 1 fork showing wear otherwise very nice generally with just one or two small wear spots. One fork handle has a chipped and reglued section of mother of pearl. c.19th IMARI CERAMIC HANDLED ORNATE SPOON & KNIFE Item #30840 A nice looking couple of Victorian pieces in the aesthetic movement taste made c. 1875. Plating is worn to both and some handle damage but still very attractive pieces. Preserve spoon: plating worn, slight cracking at the handle join but still good and sturdy. Glaze crazing to handle. ANTIQUE CANTEEN SILVER PLATED IVORY 24 PIECE C. 1850 Item #30841 A 24 piece canteen of close silver plated and ivory handled dessert knives and forks by J. Gilbert of Sheffield dating c. 1850. Sorry – no shipping to China on these! All gleaming silver, a few have very minor cosmetic surface cracks at ferrule area but all absolutely rigid and smooth to touch. Plating is generally still good with some slight wear as is usual with close plating but nothing that significant. Case very nice with minor scratches, there is a circular area around the shield where the varnish has gone slightly ‘milky’ looking presumably from previous polishing. Generally gleaming silver, a few pieces show slight wear to rears etc and some slight side wear to some of the prongs. The dessert spoons probably show the most use marks to bowl interiors. ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED COFFEE POT SUGAR BOWL PRIZE 1879 Item #30859 A lovely antique silver plated coffee pot and matching sugar bowl by Thomas Wilkinson of Birmingham. Presented as a prize for ‘2nd place Swedes’ by Morris & Griffin in 1879 presumably at a county show. Engraved with a single initial ‘T’ above ‘1879’ to other side of each piece. The pot is c. 2 pints capacity. Both pieces are absolutely gleaming silver with minor wear, some slight tarnish to interior of the sugar bowl. LOVELY C.19TH UNUSUAL SILVER PLATED TEAPOT 1864 Item #30860 A highly unusual c.19th silver plated pear shaped teapot with a nice small engraving to one side ‘Presented with a purse of gold to William George Hawdon of Blaydon Foundry by Gentlemen with which he has transacted business as a mark of their respect and esteem for his honorable conduct November 1864’. Approx 2 pints capacity. Naturalistic twig form handle more usually associated with later aesthetic movement wares and a very unusual decoration to body. Overall gleaming silver with some slight copper bleed to front lower spout area and up the spout. Historical resoldering to spout area but not that obvious. Interior has some mild tea tarnish.
