VINTAGE SILVER PLATED TEA DRINKS SERVING TRAYS X5 Item #30285 Here are 5 vintage silver plated trays sold together as 1 lot. They are all larger sized, the galleried tray on feet for comparison is 45cm long by 30cm wide and the Chippendale rimmed flat tray is c. 36.5cm diameter. They are all structurally fine but have varying degrees of plate wear. No dents, plating is variable, one shows some brass bleed, one shows some circles from glass use etc. They will polish up to a degree but none will be perfect. IRISH PEWTERMILL HIPFLASK + GLENMORANGIE HIP FLASK Item #30923 Here are 2 hip flasks sold together, both are in good condition. First is the Irish Pewter mill hip flask, nicely decorated with a raised band of florals, secondly a stainless steel 3.5oz Glenmorangie hipflask. Pewter: Slight dent to body and minor knocks. LARGE QUANTITY ANTIQUE VINTAGE SILVER PLATED ITEMS Item #30996 This is a large table full of vintage and antique silver plated items, all sold together as 1 lot. All kinds of pieces including sugar bowls, cruet sets, coasters, cigarette box, ashtrays, candelabra, trays, bowls etc. Total o 52 items. This is a heavy lot at over 15kg unpacked weight. Variable and as found. Some pieces need some repair including 2 of the pots need repair work to handles but the Victorian teapot is very nice if you can repair it. Plating is variable, some pieces are very good, some have plate wear/need replating. Most pieces do not have dents. The gallery tray needs a quick resolder at rim. Most pieces need polishing. PAIR ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED WARMING ENTRÉE DISHES DIXON Item #30997 A lovely pair of mid c.19th silver plated circular entrée/chaffing dishes with hot water reservoirs accessible via a screw top to the side of each piece. Made by James Dixon of Sheffield. Both are gleaming silver, some minor knocks mainly to interior base of one from use and one foot has historical resoldered damage but it is inconsequential. There are 6 of the larger bowled size which are 13.7cm tall by 7.6cm diameter, 5 of the tulip shaped taller goblets and 6 of the smaller tulip shaped aperitif goblets. All were made by Cavalier (English). All gleaming silver, a few very minor spots of wear and some very slight wear to a few interiors but all are good and presentable/useable. LARGE CELTIC CROSS ECCLESIASTICAL BRASS CHARGER Item #31008 A lovely very large old charger made from solid brass, the central design being a Celtic Cross with gently hand planished interior and with a smaller version of the cross to borders. It once had a wall hanging mount to rear which has been removed at some stage. Has been polished fairly recently (hence its gleam) but there are no major abrasion marks etc. Some minor tiny rim knocks and a couple of small rim breaks. Gleaming silver, very minor wear at hinge and some extremely minor wear to body but it is seriously gleaming, no dents other than a minor recess to handle fro where the lid rests when opened. GEORGE III OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE TOASTED CHEESE SERVER Item #31026 A beautiful piece of Old Sheffield plate, this is a late c.18th/very early c.19th toasted cheese server, unusually with side handles rather than one handle and with a fine monogram of a single initial ‘E’ below a crown and above a fleur-de-lis in a thickened silver panel (as was often deliberately done to ensure that the engraving didn’t wear through to the copper underneath). The interior top section is removable so that the base can be filled with hot water, and all of the non-visible surfaces are tinned. In splendid condition for age, no loss of silver and it definitely hasn’t been resilvered. There is soldering to the interior base area but it looks like it has pretty much always been there. One foot has possibly been off and resoldered. Overall it’s a superb piece in superb condition. GBP249.99 click here to view item in our store

Gleaming silver, no dents or damage other than a tiny section of plating has worn to the lower rim and a minor knock to the snuffer at its vertical rim. FINE VICTORIAN SILVER PLATED EGG CUP CRUET PRIME Item #31040 A beautiful looking egg cup cruet set by Thomas Prime of Sheffield dating c. 1860. We have not seen such a large piece made by Prime before via their ‘magnetic plating’ method, it certainly is a fine looking piece and the plating is quite exceptionally good for age. The spoons are later replacements. Gleaming silver, no dents or damage, no plate wear just some minor ring marks from where the egg cups rest on the stand and some minor tarnish spots to interior of egg cups but still very gleaming. Stylistically fairly accurately c. 1810 in date. Still retains majority of its silver, slightly out of perfect shape and missing its thumbplate to handle and its drip tray, although that doesn’t impede using it. The sugar bowl has a raised female head to each side to act as handles, possibly a young Queen Victoria? Some wear consistent with age but a beautiful pair nonetheless. Jug: overall fine with some slight rub to the giltwork decoration, no chips or cracks. Sugar bowl: slight wear/grinding to rim, presumably it once had a lid. Fully hallmarked for Chester 1890, makers marks part rubbed but probably William Hammon who usually made watch cases. Has overall knocks and some small tarnish pots. Exterior plating is quite good and gleaming silver with some slight wear at the fluting but it doesn’t notice much in normal lighting. No dents. Historic resoldering to underside base that doesn’t show at all when on the table. Handle is showing slight wear from age and has some slight looseness at top pin join area but still useable as it is. Interior has some heavier tea tarnish.
