COLLECTION CUT GLASS & SILVER SCENT PERFUME BOTTLES A/F Item #30372 This is a collection of vintage & antique cut glass scent bottles with silver lids/mounts – SOLD AS FOUND. Mostly English hallmarked. There is also a silver and guilloche enamel atomiser. These are all ‘as found’ as have damage of some sort but still make a lovely display on a shelf or dressing table. Total of 10 pieces. ALL HAVE SOME DAMAGE, some worse than others. Some have cracks to glass, some have silver lids that have stuck to their interior lid mounts, one of the bottles had significant repair etc etc. Some of the silver is split. ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER HARRODS FRUIT CUTLERY 1904 Item #31088 A lovely cased set of 6 settings of silver handled pistol grip fruit knives and forks in original Harrods case. Fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1904, the set was made by Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson). The blades and prongs are silver plated. In overall nice condition and not heavily used. 2 of the knives have slight gaps at handle joins but are absolutely rigid and useable. Case good with some storage scuffs. FINE ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER PLATED CASED FLATWARE SUITE Item #31091 A lovely antique suite of large main settings in original retailers cases, very ornate and high quality Paris plating. There are 12 each of the table knives and forks and 11 of the dessert spoons (i.e. 1 missing). Retailed by Au Figaro of Marseille. The steel bladed knives have ‘Paris’ markings. These are definitely c.19th. All are gleaming silver with some not excessive marks from use. The steel blades pre-date stainless steel so have a few blemishes in places but nothing completely unsightly. Some minor handle gaps to knives but all are good and sturdy. BEAUTIFUL GEORGIAN CUT GLASS & SILVER SCENT BOTTLE Item #31114 A very fine looking early c.19th scent flask of flat form, beautifully cutwork decorated and with original interior stopper. The silver lid is not hallmarked or the hallmarks have completely rubbed with age. No damage other than very tiny amount of chipping to the interior stopper, some miniscule fleabites to the aperture and some tiny knocks to the silver. NEWCASTLE STERLING SILVER FIDDLE SHELL TONGS 1864 Item #31129 A pair of sterling silver tongs in the fiddle shell pattern, fully hallmarked for Newcastle 1864, no makers marks. Monogrammed ‘JMS’ to bow. Unusual 3 piece construction. Minor kinks to arms, the construction appears to be original rather than some sort of repair – the silver is much thicker at the bow than the start of the arms as evidenced by the ridges – if it were a repair this would be evident as a line thru the shell pattern design and there isn’t one.
