ANTIQUE CANTEEN SILVER PLATED WALKER & HALL OLD ENGLISH 54 piece Item #27504 A good canteen of silver plated Old English pattern flatware by Walker & Hall of Sheffield with accompanying ivorine and steel bladed knives. Probably just post Edwardian c. 1914 or so. It was obviously mainly intended for ‘afternoon entertaining’ as has a mix of 6 and 12 place settings. There are 6 table forks, 6 table knives, 6 soup spoons, 12 dessert/cheese knives, 12 dessert forks, 12 teaspoons. Total of 54 pieces. The dessert knives are replacements otherwise all pieces are original to the canteen. Has its original key and the lock works fine. Silverware is all absolutely gleaming silver and very lightly used for age. Main knives also very lightly used. Replacement knives have minor wear marks from use etc. Case itself is very nice with minor scuffs and scratches. GBP124.99 click here to view item in our store

ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED BRASS & GLASS 5 BOTTLE CRUET CONDIMENT SET Item #31243 A c.19th condiment set comprising of ornate base stand and 5 bottles (2 vinegars/oils, salt and pepper and mustard). The silver plating is very worn but consistently back to a brassy colour so looks quite nice as it is. The mustard spoon is monogrammed with an ‘M’ and is by William Hutton of Sheffield. VINTAGE CANTEEN SILVER PLATED OLD ENGLISH PATTERN COOPER BROS 8 SETTINGS Item #31336 A vintage 8 setting canteen of Old English pattern flatware with accompanying ivorine handled stainless steel knives. Comprises 8 each of dinner fork, side fork, dinner knife, side knife, dessert spoon, soup spoon, teaspoon, egg spoon and 4x tablespoons and 1 sharpening steel, slots for a carving knife and fork (not included). Total of 69 pieces. Note that there are some slight issues as below but its not too bad a set overall and quite presentable. Condition is slightly variable, the silverware is all gleaming with a mix of light and heavier use wear. The forks have some wear to rear of prong tips. Cutlery similarly is mixed, some pieces having been used more than others. Some of the knife handles show surface wear. The photos of the setting are fairly representative of overall condition. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CERAMIC TEA URN SAMOVAR 1894 Item #31337 A nice and unusual c.19th samovar – this has an almost ‘bargeware’ look to it. Black glossy paint ground with gilt decoration and upper florals in pinks and blues on a green ground. The tap is period but seems a little large for the piece so may be a replacement. The underside bears registration number for design in 1894. Interior has a metal filter behind the tap. No chips or cracks, watertight and the tap works.
