ANTIQUE SOLID STERLING SILVER CIGAR ASHTRAY ZIMMERMAN 1898 Item #31378 A rare piece, this is a cigar ashtray in the form of a shell. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1898 maker A&J Zimmerman. ANTIQUE SOLID STERLING SILVER DISH BENJAMIN SMITH III LONDON 1840 966g Item #31521 A beautiful large and heavy sterling silver serving dish/bowl by the renowned Benjamin Smith III, fully hallmarked for London 1840 and nicely stamped with his retail address to underside. The large flattened area tapers up to a nice thick shell and scroll rim. In fine condition, just some tiny and not very visible knocks from use, no real dents as such. ANTIQUE SILVER ON COPPER LARGE 20 INCH CANDELABRA Item #31522 An impressive looking large silver on copper candelabra at just under 20 inches (50cm) tall. It has lost a fair amount of its silver but still a good looker and very functional. Detachable wax drip trays. Gleaming copper and gold with some mild tarnish. Has a historical resolder to its pedestal join area and some knocks to the drip trays. Slight lean from perfect vertical. One arm has very minor movement in its support but its not a functional issue, still perfectly useable as is. LOVELY ART DECO SILVER GUILLOCHE ENAMEL CIGARETTE HOLDER CASED Item #31531 A lovely piece of social history, this is a deco period cigarette holder with blue guilloche enamel over (unmarked) silver and a nice long mouthpiece. In its original gilt tooled red Moroccan leather case and complete with deco pink lipstick stain! There are 2 very tiny chips to the enamel at the top join with the silver rim. Some small knocks to the silver. The screw-in stem is undamaged but does have lipstick stains and some slight staining towards the silver end. One very shallow knock to the jug and a historical resolder to its underside of top handle join area but it doesn’t notice too much. Some quite minor tarnish to pot interior.. PAIR OLD SHEFFIELD SILVER PLATE ENTRÉE DISHES DIXON C. 1835 Item #31580 A beautiful pair of OSP entrée dishes by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield with their original stands used as a warmers by filling with hot water (tinned interiors). These are very heavy pieces! Made c. 1835. Both are gleaming silver with minimal copper bleed. Some small knocks/dents commensurate with age and use but in great overall shape. The finial looks to be a replacement as there is an extra small hole in the lid next to its spindle hole but it doesn’t really notice unless looking for it! Both are monogrammed to centers with WRNW. They have some issues but still lovely pieces! Both have some splits at rims which ideally need soldering from underside. The smaller one is still quite sturdy as is, the larger one has some movement if ‘pushed’ from above and one of its feet has historical resoldering at join.
