4X ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED MEAT SKEWERS SHEFFIELD Item #32157 Here are 4 c.19th meat skewers – 2 are close plated (silver on steel) (largest one by Harwood, other by Prime), 2 are by Atkin Brothers and are electroplated. They range in size from 33cm (13 inches) to 20.3cm (8 inches). The close plated ones date c. 1820-1840, the electroplated ones c. 1870. There are some overall small surface knocks to the body. Interior has some mild tarnish/wear marks. The handle has had a historical professional repin at its lower join and is good and sturdy. RARE C.19TH RING SHAPED CUT GLASS & SILVER SCENT BOTTLE a/f Item #32202 An extremely rare c.19th ring shaped cut glass scent bottle with interior glass stopper and unmarked silver lid. It is unfortunately quite badly damaged but still makes a good display piece. Glass is quite damaged – section missing to neck and cracks running through upper part of ring although still ‘solid’ and not about to break further. Dents to the silver lid. REID & SONS STERLING SILVER SALT & PEPPER POTS 1912 Item #32211 A sterling silver pepper pot and open salt by Reid & Sons of Newcastle. The salt is fully hallmarked for London 1912, the pepper pot London 1911. The salt spoon is a replacement but sterling silver. The blue glass liner to salt is a replacement and not quite a perfect fit. Silver weight is 58g. Both stand nicely. Has original blue glass liners and salt and mustard spoons by Adie Brothers fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1933. Note that the pepper pot lid bears partial hallmarks for 1929 for some reason but absolutely sure its the right one for the pot. Silver weight is 72g. Pepper pot has some dents but otherwise quite good with 1 dent to the salt pot body and some very tiny knocks. Glass liners fine. Some salt related tarnish. CASED 5 PIECE CRUET SET STERLING SILVER NORTHERN GOLDSMITHS 1937 185g Item #32214 A lovely cased 5 piece sterling silver cruet set by the Northern Goldsmiths Co of Newcastle, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1937. The spoons are replacements by various makers but all are also sterling silver. Silver weight is a hefty 185g. No dents or damage, some surface tarnish/salt tarnish marks. One of the glass liners is a replacement and not a perfect fit but does the job, this one has some chips to underside of its rim.
