CASED STERLING SILVER HANDLED TEA KNIVES 1923 Item #32380 A cased set of 6 sterling silver handled tea knives with silver plated blades. The hallmarks are very worn to all knives but probably Sheffield 1923. Overall knocks to handles. Hallmarks worn. Blades in reasonable condition. Some gaps at handle joins but all are rigid. GEOFFREY BELLAMY STERLING SILVER LEICESTER MAYORAL PRESENTATION SET 1956 Item #32381 A lovely and unique case containing 2 silver trinket dishes designed by the great Geoffrey G. Bellamy for George Tarratt of Leicester that were presented to the Mayor of Leicester in 1956. Each dish has a different design of Sherringham House and is fully hallmarked for London 1956. There would have originally been a ceremonial key inside the box which is missing. Silver weight is 101g. Both dishes fine with no dents or damage and just some light surface marks. FINE ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER CHRISTENING SET MARTIN HALL 1877 CASED Item #32384 A beautiful gilt tooled leather cased christening cutlery set by Martin Hall & Co, the spoon and fork fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1869 and the knife Sheffield 1877. Bead pattern with fern engraving and monogram ‘ENM’. The knife blade is also sterling, not plated. The spoon weighs 34.5g, the fork 34g and the knife 42g. Not heavily used. STERLING SILVER HAIR BRUSH 1924 Item #32386 A sterling silver backed hairbrush fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1924. Made by Henry Matthews. No monograms but has probably had a monogram erased to centre from the looks of it.. Has some dents and scratches to the silver but in good overall shape, bristles still very good. ORNATE STERLING SILVER PHOTO FRAMES LONDON 1989 Item #32397 A fine suite of 3 photo frames – one larger one fully hallmarked for London 1989 and a matching pair of smaller ones fully hallmarked for London 1990. Similar patterns across the 3 and they look very nice together. The larger one has a mask to bottom rim and bird detail. Each one has an easel back. All 3 have their glass and are a very presentable set. The larger one has a visible photo area of 116mm by 75mm, the smaller ones have a visible area of 55mm by 30mm. All in fine condition with minor marks to the velvet backing. Some minor surface scratches to the blank cartouche area of the larger frame. MOTHER OF PEARL STERLING SILVER FRUIT SET 1909 OAK CASED ANTIQUE Item #32407 A set of 6 fruit knives and 6 forks in a double layer oak case with a fine armorial device of a broken spear thru a leopards head. Each piece is fully hallmarked for Sheffield, the knives 1909, the forks 1905, and was made by Allen & Darwin. One knife has a very minor knock to blade edge, otherwise all are fine, no damage to handles etc. The case is lovely and just has a few minor scratches. Slight issues but still a useable piece. There is a gap at handle join with blade but it is still absolutely rigid. Some slight plate wear to the blade at its tip area. SOLID SILVER TOOTHPICK HOLDER Item #32417 A silver toothpick holder with bright cut engraved body and ornate rim, raised on 3 small feet. Silver marks are not very clear, but it is definitely silver. The style of engraving reminded us of Russian silver although the markings don’t follow that, so it may well be from somewhere in Eastern Europe/North Asia.
